I can’t tell you have many times I have started from scratch, with nothing, built myself a nice little income, a nice little business enterprise, lost it all and then had to start over.
“Failure” in your life can be devastating. bit it doesn’t have to be. There is really no such thing as failure.
Failure is simply a setback, temporary at that, if you don’t let it control you. For me, failure is simply God’s way of letting you know that you weren’t quite ready and you need to go back and do some more research….study and work on the problem some more.
Listen to this video from Tony Robbins for some more on the issue of starting over.
If I were to ask you if you wanted to know the Top Ten Rules For Success, you may be respond by asking me, “who’s rules are we talking about”…. Tony Robbins, Jim Rohn, or maybe Robert Kiyosaki? Well, here are all three in their own words.
Believe it or not, for most people happiness is a state of mind. It is not a place that you arrive at one day after achieving all the things that you desire. That should be obvious when you consider all the people in the world, such as professional athletes, rock stars, and lottery winners who achieved instant wealth only to find this treasure trove did not bring happiness.
You can simply choose to be happy. Now that may sound like an oversimplification, but it’s the truth.
Of course it does not happen overnight; you have to condition yourself and learn to accept where you are in life. If you are not happy in your life than it is time to make changes.
A great way to change your thinking is to start each day off right. Most people find a short prayer, 15 to 20 minutes of meditation and 20 to 30 minutes of exercise such as walking will do wonders for conditioning your mind to think positive.
Happiness starts in the home. There are many things that can affect your happiness negatively, such as clutter, unfinished business, and bad relationships.
Most of us have many things that could be thrown out but we simply refuse to part with them. If there are things in the house that you haven’t used in 2 to 3 years than you might think about whether someone else could actually make use of them. You could donate them or have a garage sale.
Handling bad relationships is a different matter altogether. Try to think honestly whether you contribute to the bad relationship. If someone snaps at you do you snap back at them? You can simply choose not to participate in this behavior. You need to decide that you will stay above the fray. You can do it if you try. Start practicing!
